Description
1959 Fender Bassman 5F6-A Tweed 4×10″ Amplifier – CLEAN.
Up for sale, an Original 1959 Fender Bassman 5F6-A, single-owner from new, in honest Very Good condition and perfect working order.
Not a reissue, the real deal. Widely considered the father of all amps. Everything is original and date-correct: the 5F6-A circuit, All Jensen P10R 10″ alnico speakers (three of them dated ’58 and one dated ’59 which is normal), the Triad 8087 power transformer, the Triad 45249 output transformer, the original Fender-spec filter choke (the small middle transformer between the PT and OT), the lacquered tweed, the grille cloth, the chassis, knobs, and internal wiring even the original two-prong power cable.
Tubes are vintage RCA and Tung-Sol throughout. The only non-original part on the entire amp is the leather handle, replaced at some point with a period-appropriate piece. It comes with a tan cover.
40 watts, 6L6 tone, with the classic Bassman bark and bloom, Normal and Bright channels jumperable for that gain-stacked British voice. The Tweed has yellowed beautifully with honest cabinet wear; chassis is clean with no signs of overheating, no hum, no crackle, quiet noise floor, stable bias.
Kept under regular professional maintenance its entire life by its original owner.
It ships out fully insured, double-boxed, with tubes packed separately to Continental US and select International destinations.
