2010 Fender American Vintage ’62 (AV62) Precision Bass 3-Tone Sunburst w/OSHC

Up for sale, an incredible, hard to find nowadays Fender AVRI ’62 Precision Bass in a stunning 3-Tone Sunburst. 100% all original in Excellent condition. It comes with tags, pickup and bridge covers (never installed, no drills yet), thumbrest and its original brown tolex case with its case keys.

Lightweight at 8.8 Lbs, perfectly balanced. Made in Corona, CA USA in 2010.

The color is a beautiful Nitrocellulose finish, one of the classiest colors, with a 4-ply Tortoise pickguard and rosewood fingerboard. A killer look.

The instrument has been gently used, however there is just some light play wear over the back of the body, and due to the nitrocellulose lacquer it’ll keep aging nicely over the time. Even with brand newly purchased American Vintage/Original instruments could came from factory with minimal “finish issues” as disclosed by Fender (Look online for Fender Lacquer information sheet). See the photos, although and because of that I still believe it’s in Excellent condition, almost entirely free from blemishes and other visual defects and has been played or used with the utmost care.

The neck on this one (unlike many other AV’63 or newer American Original ’60s) has a slimmer “C” profile with .820″ neck thickness at 1st fret and .94″ at 12th fret, typical 1.75″ nut width, 7.25″ radius slab fretboard, reverse tuners and spaghetti logo. The neck is perfectly straight with truss rod working as it should.  It’s strung with a set of D’addario Chromes Flat wounds .45 – .100″ and it plays exactly as a good old P-Bass should.
