1996 Gibson Explorer ’76 Ebony Black with Original Hard Case.

Up for sale is an impressive Gibson Explorer ’76 in a classic Ebony Black finish. Made in USA in 1996, All original with its hard case in Very Good condition.

8.6 Lbs, which means average to lightweight for an Explorer. We can send more photos, audios and videos upon request.

This Explorer is based on the second incarnation of the Explorer in 1976. Its futuristic design for the era combined with the all mahogany set neck and body with the traditional Gibson dual humbucker configuration made the Explorer became especially popular among the hard rock and heavy metal musicians of the 1970s and 1980s.

The neck is perfectly straight and truss rod works great, allowing a low action without any fret issues.

The guitar is all original with its original pickups, electronics and all hardware. Aesthetically, the guitar has been well played, displaying play wear (light marks, scratches and little dings all over the body and neck, commonly on Explorers due to its shape), however the guitar is in great condition overall without any cracks at all and fully functional.

It has an Aluminum Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece Deluxe tuners and 3-ply white pickguard. It comes with the typical stock controls 2x Vol, 2x Tone and 3-way switch.

It comes with its original rectangular brown tolex hard case.

It will be professionally packed, insured and shipped out to Continental US only. Local Pickup in LA is also welcome at no cost.
