1996 Fender Custom Shop 1954 Stratocaster Blonde – John Page Era
Up for sale, here’s a rare to find John Page era (1996) Fender Custom Shop 1954 Stratocaster Custom Classics Series in a beautiful Blonde finish, in Excellent near Mint condition. Think of a Mary Kaye Stratocaster but instead of gold. nickel hardware.
These era John Page/Cunetto years are considered the best years of the Fender Custom Shop. this instrument was made in January of 1996 at the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, CA. Everything seems to be all original with its original Certificate of Authenticity, case candy and its original G&G Tweed hard case.
8.2 Lbs, which means lightweight for a Stratocaster.
Two piece Swamp Ash body with a stunning all Birdseye Maple neck with a soft “V” neck profile with 9.5″ radius, Depth thinks at 1st fret of .830″ and .960″ at 12th fret with vintage style frets. 1-Ply Eggshell vintage style pickguard with all period correct hardware including vintage nickel tuners and tremolo arm. All electronics are stock (Custom ’50s Strat Pickups set) and a 5-way pickups switch.
Cosmetically, the guitar is in Excellent near Mint condition and it has almost no play wear at all. At some point the previous owner installed another Fender 3-ply pearloid 10-hole pickguard, and now it’s been reversed to its original 8-hole 1-ply white, therefore there’re some extra pickguard holes underneath the current pickguard, no big of a deal. Other than that, the instrument is in fully original condition overall and in perfect working order. The neck is perfectly straight and the truss rod works flawlessly both ways. It’s been just professionally set with a fresh set of D’addario strings and it really plays amazing.
The case candy includes is COA, tags, unopened polish cloth, tweed strap and case keys.
It’ll be professionally packed and fully insured to Continental US only. Local pickup in LA is also welcome at no cost.
