1959 Harmony Stella H929 Sunburst with Dead Ringer Rubber and Wooden Bridge
Up for sale, here is a 1959 Harmony Stella H929, a fine example of the classic American parlor guitar from the golden era of American made instruments. Built in Chicago by Harmony, these Stellas have earned a devoted following among players for their raw, woody voice and undeniable vintage character, and this one is an exceptional example that sounds incredible and plays very well.
This guitar is in Excellent condition, with no cracks and no repairs whatsoever, which is increasingly rare to find on a parlor of this age. It retains its original wooden bridge and has the added versatility of a Dead Ringer removable rubber bridge, which comes with its kit including three additional rubber strips. The guitar can be played either way, with the original wooden bridge for that bright, open, classic parlor tone, or with the rubber bridge in place for a warm, muted, thumpy voice that is perfect for fingerstyle blues and folk. It is like having two distinct instruments in one.
Action is good and comfortable, and the strings are not new (fairly old, perfect for the rubber bridge) nut still have plenty of life left in them. The guitar comes with an aftermarket gig bag. P
It ships out professionally packed and fully insured to Continental US and select international destinations.
