Vintage 1970 Gibson EB-0L Bass Natural

Up for sale, here’s an incredible example from a rare 1970 Gibson EB-0L Bass in its original Natural finish.

This is the 34″ long scale version of the EB-0 bass with slotted headstock. It’s been introduced in 1969 and this one is from early 1970, with no volute. The bass is super light weight (7.0 Lbs) and it sounds incredible, with a beautiful chunky round neck profile. It’s has a lot of checking which makes it look and feel great and give it a great vibe. Typical mahogany (body and neck, rosewood fretboard) midrange Gibson bass tone with the feel of a “real” longscale bass. Comes with a new SKB molded hard case.

Other than the case, the entire instrument is pretty much all original including its massive sounding Mudbucker pickup, bridge, Schaller tuners, pickguard, original frets (in great shape considering its age), Gibson logo and Serial number is partially visible. Original wiring harness with CTS pots dated early ’70 and original knobs. The bridge is also original with just two replaced saddle screws, however still retains its original saddles.

The instrument is in Very Good+ condition considering its age, Truss rod works both ways flawlessly, neck is straight.

This is a great opportunity to get a real vintage early ’70 Gibson Bass that plays amazing with tons of mojo at a reasonable price.

It ships out professionally packed and insured to continental US. International buyers please check first for a shipping quote. (Of course, the Ampeg amp in the background of the photos is NOT included and it’s just for displaying purposes).
