Fender American Vintage ’63 Precision AV63 Bass Faded Sonic Blue 2013 with OSHC & Case Candy

Up for sale, here’s an incredible and very hard to find AV’63 P-Bass in Faded Sonic Blue, 100% All original in Excellent condition. . It comes with its original blonde tolex case and case candy (leather vintage strap, polish cloth, pickup and bridge covers, thumb rest, registration & warranty cards, all tags, stickers, case keys and period correct bootleg exact as they were in the early ’60s).

Very lightweight at 8.4 Lbs, perfectly balanced.

The color is something very special and rare to find nowadays, a beautiful Nitrocellulose finish in Faded Sonic Blue, with a Mint pickguard and rosewood fingerboard are a stunning combo.
The instrument has been lightly used, there is very minimal wear due to the nitrocellulose lacquer that really looks “cool” and on the to me and it’ll age nicely over the time, there’re only a couple of barely noticeable little marks over the edges of the body, although no big blemishes at all. Even with brand newly purchased American Vintage/Original instruments could came from factory with minimal “finish issues” as explained on the Fender Lacquer information sheet included in the case candy. See the photos, it’s in Excellent condition, almost entirely free from blemishes and other visual defects and has been played or used with the utmost care.

The neck on this (unlike many other AV’63 or newer American Original ’60s) has a “C” profile that is is on the slimmer side (it reminds me to the AV62 profile) measuring .810″ neck thickness at 1st fret and .980″ at 12th fret, typical 1.75″ nut width and 7.25″ radius veneer fretboard, with reverse tuners and spaghetti logo. The neck is perfectly straight with truss rod fully functional.  It’s strung with set of Fender flat wounds .45 – .105″ and it plays exactly as a good old P-Bass should (I was blown away when compared side by side against an original ’60s).
