Fender American Original ’60s & MJT Precision Bass Candy Apple Red – By IWTG Build

Up for sale is this awesome parts bass made out of all USA made Fender and MJT all American made components. We recently started putting together parts in our shop and this ons is special and caught all the attention. It really blows away to everyone that grabs it, making a great instrument for someone who already owns a vintage P-Bass and would like to get a high quality P-Bass that is equal to any Vintage P-Bass without compromising the sound and a piece of mind when gigging out. If you’re in that category, or you’re just so into parts basses, this is your opportunity to have an awesome, super fun, lightweight (8.6 lbs) and reliable work horse for a great and very competitive price tag.

We named it “AV 1964″ cause it recalls to all the specs from a real ’64 P-Bass. It all started with a brand new Fender American Original ’60s Precision Bass neck. This is a replacement neck part with all Fender American Vintage/Original hardware purchased separately, at times these might need professional labor to make it functional with a body, such as fret dressing, nut filing, setup, etc so we did all that for you. Of course, it’s nitro cellulose finish, loaded with reverse tuners and string tree. 1.75″ nut width and .820” neck thickness at 1st fret (it feels  profile).

We got a truly amazing MJT Alder body in nitro aged Candy Apple Red (relic’d, with some checking as well) that fits perfectly tight with the neck, so we decided to go with an aged Fender original American Vintage pickguard that looks stunning with the color. The body is loaded with a Fender Custom Shop Hand Wired ’62 split coil pickup along with a custom made P-Bass wiring harness (CTS pots, period correct capacitor and Switchcraft input jack), along with also American Vintage made Fender knobs, vintage bridge with threaded saddles and thumb rest. Everything is period correct and all American made.

The bass comes with a new Fender Deluxe Molded case. The case has a crack in one of the bottom corners although it’s perfectly functional, the TSA approved latches and handle works perfect. It comes with its original keys.
