Up for sale, coming directly from Matty Baratto’s private stock here’s an incredible 2021 Baratto Mateo Paul in a stunning flamed ’50s Burst, custom made in Los Angeles, CA in with its original TKL Lifton style brown snake tolex in Excellent condition.

If you got to this listing, you may probably know the Mateo Paul is basically Matty Baratto’s finest recreation of a late ’50s Burst Les Paul Standard with nuances and boutique appointments such as Okoume body with Honduran Mahogany neck with Indian Rosewood fretboard and highly flamed Maple top Cherry sunburst.

8.0 Lbs, which is VERY lightweight for a Les Paul without any weight relief.

The neck has a Vintage neck profile, something in between a late ’50s into the early ’60s era, (neck thicknesss at 1st Fret is .820″ and at 12th fret .870″, nut width is 1.67″) with a nice looking Indian Rosewood fretboard with trapezoid inlays, perfectly straight , allowing a low action without any fret buzz.

It comes with no pickguard (you can always put one if you want) although all VOS hardware such as Nitro cellulose finish, ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop bar tailpiece, vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons and Gold Top Hats knobs. Pickups are Seymour Duncan Retrospec’d Antiquity (Alnico II) Humbucker pickups with 2x Volume and 2x Tone Controls and 3-way toggle switch (hand-wired with vintage style capacitors).

Aesthetically, the guitar is in Excellent + condition, with almost no play wear at all, there are only a couple of very minimal surface level marks of usage. Other than that there are no big blemishes nor dings, dents at all. The guitar is in 100% perfect working order and it’s been barely played at Matty’s shop by himself and some of his frequent clientele.

It comes with its original TKL Lifton style hard case, which is an optional.
