Up for sale, here’s a very cool Fender American Jazz Bass Plus V in very good condition. Made in Corona, CA USA in 1994. these American Jazz Bass Plus series were made from 1990 – 1994 and it was at the time what American Deluxe/Elite/Ultra series from nowadays are today. A truly American made Jazz Bass, well known for being super solid and reliable workhorse for pros, getting the traditional Jazz Bass tone with some really cool and premium features such as the active/passive electronics. These came with a Lace Sensor set of pickups and a passive/active preamp control section made by Kubicki.

One owner. All original, 3-Tone sunburst finish without any pickguard. Body appears to be made of Alder and it comes stock with a solid hi-mass bridge with top load. Tuners are Gotoh and the 9V Kubicki electronics can be bypassed in passive mode. The controls are: Master Volume and Pickups blend – Bass and Treble controls for Active mode, then Master tone for Passive mode and 4 way selector for Passive/active, Series/Parallel mode with Mute. Plenty of options and variety of tasteful Jazz Bass tones for recording purposes.
It has a slim and modern “C” Profile with the classic Jazz Bass playability. A beautiful piece of Maple with Rosewood fretboard. The neck has a very thin layer of satin finish which makes it very smooth to play. The neck is perfectly straight (truss rod at the headstock works perfect as expected) and without any fret issues, currently set low very comfy with a set of D’addario Nickel .045″ – .130″ and it really plays like a dream.

The bass has wear, there are some little buckle rush, and some tiny little dings around the edges of the body from being played almost 30 years although no big blemishes at all and the instrument is fully functional and in great shape overall. The bass comes with an SKB molded case Away better than the original) that has a crack although it’s fully functional with all latches working.
