Description
1989 Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Bass Honey Burst.
Up for sale, an amazing and hard to find 1989 Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Bass in gorgeous Honey Burst color with Birdseye Maple fretboard. Made in San Luis Obispo, California USA in 1989. (Do not get confused with the StingRay34 by MusicMan, this is a real Ernie Ball MusicMan).
Weighting at 8.6 Lbs, which is very lightweight for a good old StingRay with Ash body.
Check the Video at the last of the photos, where you can hear the Bass. (Video will be uploaded soon along with the photos!). We can provide more photos, audios and videos upon request.
100% all original. This is great example from a late ’80s transitional StingRay with a 4-bolt neck with skunk stripe not he back of the neck and bullet truss rod at the headstock. Also, it comes with the typical MM one piece neck made of all Birdseye Maple that is super straight and confortable. Flamed 2-piece Ash contoured body with a 1-ply transparent pickguard, bridge with string mutes and the classic MM pickup with 3-Band EQ and chrome knobs.
Surprisingly for being a +35 year old instrument, it has been gently used, there’s minimal wear (some buckle rush, patina and only a couple of little dings of the back of the body). It definitely has a lot of mojo. It’s almost entirely free from blemishes and any other visual defects and it has been used or played with the utmost care. It’s been professionally set and It really plays amazingly well.
It comes with its original black tolex hard case, which is in great condition with its case keys and Allen wrench.
It will be professionally packed, insured and shipped to Continental US only. Local pickup in LA is also welcome at no cost.
