1978 Ampeg B-15N Curved Line Portaflex 2-Channel 30-Watt 1×15″ Fliptop Tube Bass Amp

Up for sale, an increasingly sought after, very clean to find 1978 Ampeg B-15N black curved lines face Portaflex All Tube Bass combo amp made in the USA during the earlier Ampeg Co Selmer era in Excellent condition.

The Black curved line with blue cloth grill was introduced int he mid ’70s’, meanwhile still remains the same circuit form the earlier ’60s models, these models still have the dual two inputs, which is useful for bridging both channels in parallel. The Serial # is 168950, The legendary square magnet Eminence (whom acquired CTS) Speaker serial number shows 1978. Since the early days the B-15 has become the holy grail of the Bass amps for studio use. This is the father of the SVT, it’s essentially a smaller version of it, with the advantage of getting a rich warm tone at very low volumes.

The Amp, with just the exception of the caster wheels, seems to be ALL ORIGINAK, including its transformer and even pretty much all its tubes, speaker, tolex and grill (which has a small tear but still in great shape), and all electronics are original and in excellent shape, perfectly working flawlessly.

The amp has been really well preserved for its age and it’s ready to be played for many years to come.

The amp will be professionally double boxed, packed and fully insured. Please keep in mind this takes a lot of time, dedication and some good quality supplies for packing an item like this (fairly heavy and delicate) hence the shipping cost. Not many people is willing to do the job however we really love it.
