Description

1969 Fender Telecaster Blonde – 6.4 Pounds.

Up for sale, here’s an incredible 1969 Fender Telecaster. Arguably, one of the coolest Telecaster you’ll find at this price point. An amazing sounding ’69 Telecaster with just body refinished in a stunning nitro Blonde precisely done by Tony Shroom. Aside this, everything else including its hardware appears to be all original.
6.4 pounds, One of the lightest Telecaster ever.

3 320 9 9B stamped on the neck (Sept ’69), F neck plate Serial # 268XXX, Pots dated 12th week of ’66, Original grey bottom pickups. Original hardware including bridge, control plate, knobs, tuners, strap buttons. 3-ply white (yellowed) pickguard appears to be original.

An amazing example of a highly desirable late ’60s Fender Telecaster instrument, still retaining most of the character from the early ’50s pre CBS years, without breaking the bank. Besides the re finished body the neck seems to have its original finish (as usual on these years, poly finish on the entire neck excepts the headstock which was nitro) with its original decal logo. No mods, no re routings whatsoever, all parts appears to be original and period correct.

Highly resonant Ash body with THE Tele neck. It feels and plays incredible (something that you can only see on pre-CBS and early CBS era Fender instruments), perfectly straight like an arrow. Nut width is 1.63″, Depth thickness at 1st fret is 0.83″ and 0.89″ at 12th fret. Frets appears to be original as they show light wear, allowing low action and playing throughout the whole fretboard evenly without any dead spots. Truss rod works flawlessly both ways. It’s been professionally set and strung with a round wound set of D’addario.

It’s a killer Vintage 1960’s Telecaster, once you cross to the 1970’s things starts to change considerably on the Fender world and the late ’60s is what I believe is the sweet spot for the Fender instruments without paying a fine figure price tag.

The instrument comes with its original original black tolex hard case (which is in very good condition) with its original ashtray cover.

This is a great opportunity to own a real ’69 Telecaster at an unbelievable price tag (same instruments with all original color finish go roughly twice the price, check for yourself). We predict this to be sold quick.

It’ll be professionally packed and fully insured to Continental US only. Local pickup in LA is also available at no cost.
