1968 Fender Jazz Bass 3-Tone Sunburst All Original

Up for sale, here’s an incredible vintage 1968 Jazz Bass in 3-Tone sunburst, All Original with its Original Black tolex case, in Excellent condition, extremely clean.

9.0 lbs. 7 SEPT 68 A stamped on the neck, F neck plate Serial # 22XXXX, Pots dated 31st week of ’66 (which is very common to find on many ’67 -’69 instruments due to Fender acquired a huge inventory of pots that year), grey bottom pickups dated Sept ’68.

An amazing example of a transition era ’68 Jazz Bass. These instruments are known for being the first ones with bound neck, block inlays and Decal logo with bigger model name on the headstock.

The original 3-Tone Sunburst finish combined with the Tortoise shell pickguard creates a true classic combination.

The neck profile is medium to slim profile. Nut width is 1.48″. Frets are original as they show moderate wear, allowing low action and playing throughout the whole fretboard evenly. The Neck is perfectly straight, with truss rod functioning both ways.

The instrument comes with its Original pickup and bridge covers, thumbrest and its original Fender black tolex hard case (which is in very good condition all latches work and in great shape. Cosmetically is pretty clean considering its age with very minimal wear over the body; This is a great opportunity to own a super clean ’60s Jazz Bass.
