Description

1967 Fender Bandmaster Black face Guitar Amp Head+ matching Piggyback 2×12″ Cabinet

Up for sale, here’s a great example of a clean All original 1967 Fender Bandmaster 40-Watt 2-Channel Black face Guitar Amp Head, plus a matching 2×12″ Bandmaster Piggyback cabinet loaded with two original (dated ’66) Jensen C12N Speakers, original speaker cable and original Fender tag.

AB763 circuit. It’s been played mainly in studio and serviced. Cosmetically and functionally The amp is very good condition overall and all appears to be original with the exception of the tubes, recapped, a 3 prong plug for safety reasons and a new foot switch for activating/deactivating the Vibrato.

All transformers and pots are dated ’66, it’s printed ’67 date on the chassis. Everything seems original, all original transformers and still retains the coveted blue molded caps. The tubes are JJ’s on the power amp section, JJ’s and GE’s on the preamp section. Pots works flawlessly. All hardware seems to be all original and functional. The amp sounds clean and 100% as expected. The grill cloth seems to be original.

The cab is also original and matching the head. These used to come with Jensen C12N or Oxford 12T6, which in our opinion the Jensen sounds a but more punchy, warm and clear without being too harsh or bright.

If you’re interested in just the Amp without the cab, There’s also a separate listing for just the Bandmaster Amp head.

As you can imagine, Local pickup in LA is much preferred. Although i can ship it out to Continental US
