2015 Gibson SG Standard Bass Heritage Cherry w/Babicz Bridge
Up for sale, a stunning 2015 Gibson SG Standard Bass in Heritage Cherry in excellent condition. Made in USA in 2015, with its original and limited edition Gibson rectangular gold hard case (by TKL), original tags, certificate and an upgraded Babicz Full contact bridge, which is amazing improvement to the original and it’s a direct retro fit with no mods needed.Lightweight at just 7.4 lbs. 30″ short scale.
Barely used. All original with the exception of the bridge, original and classic Heritage Cherry finish. It has a classic Mahogany body and neck. The electronics consists of a Rhythm neck pickup and a Lead Bridge pickup. Controls are pretty simple: Neck Volume, Bridge Volume and master Tone.
It has a traditional and medium rounded Gibson bass neck profile, set neck. A beautiful piece of Mahogany and Rosewood fingerboard, 12″ radius with Acrylic Trapezoid, Grover tuners, nut width is 1.6″. The neck is perfectly straight (truss rod works perfect as expected) and without any fret issues, currently set low and it really plays like a dream.
These Gibson SG Standard Bass are essentially a current version inspired on the 1960’s Gibson EB-3.
Aesthetically, The bass is really clean, with very minimal wear however it’s in great overall shape and fully functional. The instrument has been used or played with the utmost care. It comes with its original brown tolex case with its tags, warranty info card, Allen wrench, case key and an extra Babicz shim (not needed for this bass, it comes standard with any Babicz Gibson 3 point bridge and it’s made for some other specific Gibson basses).It’s been professionally set with low action, strung with a fresh set of Flat wounds D’addario Chromes 0.45-.100″ and it plays amazingly well.
