1979 Fender Telecaster Blonde Maple – All Original
Up for sale, here’s a very RARE to find late ’70s Fender Telecaster in Blonde (not a Natural, neither White), super lightweight for the era (7.7 Lbs) and a gorgeous and un-common flamed Maple neck.
All Original. Made in the USA at the Fender CBS factory. S8xxxxx Serial Number, 4 bolt neck F plate. Pots dated ’79, neck stamp shows 41st week of ’78, still the serial number on the headstock matches clearly the sticker on the pickguard. One thing to note on this particular, unlike in many others from he era, the neck joint with the neck is very tight (see photos).
Pickups and electronics..It’s very common to find these instruments with S7, S8 and S9 serial numbers that were actually assembled in later years (even 2 or 3 years sometimes), however still a truly late ’70s Telecaster with all the features you can expect such as all Maple neck and Ash body form previous decades. All parts appears to be original, including its original hard case.
We can provide more photos, audios or videos upon request through the message area.
The Blonde finish combined with the original 3-ply black pickguard and a Maple neck creates a classic look. These late ’70s Telecasters are known by their characteristic punch, attack and bright sound. Cosmetically speaking, there’s some moderate play wear, checking and patina, however the guitar is in Very good condition for its age, it’s been played or used with great care.
The Neck is something unique on these years, the figured Maple is something you’d rarely see on these era. It’s perfectly straight, with truss rod functioning both ways. It’s been professionally set and ready to go to the gig. This is a great opportunity to own a rare and super cool ’70s Telecaster at a competitive price tag,
It’ll be professionally packed and insured to Continental US only. Local pickup in LA is also available at no cost.
