An amazing example of a transition era 1965 P-Bass. Being one of the early production CBS era, these instruments are known for retaining most of the features and mojo from the pre-CBS years.
The original Olympic White nitrocellulose lacquer finish combined with the Tortoise shell pickguard creates a stunning combination.
The neck is something else, it comes still what appears to be a Brazilian rosewood fretboard with pearl dots. The profile is medium to slim profile. Nut width is 1.74″. Frets are original as they show moderate wear, allowing low action and playing throughout the whole fretboard evenly. The Neck is perfectly straight, with truss rod functioning both ways.
The instrument comes with its Original pickup and bridge covers, thumbrest and its original Fender black tolex hard case (which is in very good condition all latches work and in great shape. Cosmetically there’s only one little blemish over the body, other than that some minimal checking, wear and patina from its age. This is a great opportunity to own a super clean 1965 P-Bass in Custom Color.
It’ll be professionally packed and fully insured to Continental US only. Local pickup in LA is also available at no cost.
