1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black (Early Series) with Original Case and Tag.

Up for sale, here’s a Collectors grade Vintage 1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black, collector grade and in excellent condition. Serial number 539XXX. According to respected collectors, this example is considered part of the highly sought after Early Series late sixties run, featuring a One piece Mahogany body with Maple Top, One piece Mahogany neck (with two little separate wings to form the holly shaped headstock). Also, long tenon neck, control cavity routes with straight walls and a flat maple floor, and the correct Gibson logo with dot over the “I”, open “b” and “o”, not the later closed letter style.

The Guitar Wweighs exactly 9.2 lbs and feels exceptionally well balanced. The guitar is 100% original throughout, including original Pat # sticker humbucker pickups, untouched wiring, and pots dated 1961, pot codes 1346140. The guitar is exceptionally Clean, with very minimal play wear, photos tell the story.
