Description
1977 Fender Musicmaster 2-Channel 12-Watt 1×12″ Bass Combo Amp Silverface – All Original.
Up for sale, here’s an original 1977 Fender Musicmaster Bass Amp Silver Face, coming from its original owner. This is one of the coolest ’70s Fender small amps, simple, warm, dynamic, and surprisingly full-sounding. Originally marketed for bass, but guitar players love these for their breakup, clean headroom at lower volumes, and overall studio-friendly versatility. 1×12″ and 12 Watts.
All original and in Very Good+ condition. Fully functional, sounding absolutely impeccable. You can clearly tell it has been played, yet it’s been very well preserved through the years. All transformers are original and dated ‘77, pots are dated ’77, and the Utah speaker is still the correct/original unit dated ’75. Tubes (1×7025 preamp and 2x 6V6) appear to be original to the amp as well, rare to find one this complete and unmolested.
Tonally, it delivers that Fender warmth: punchy lows, smooth mids, crisp highs, and a sweet natural breakup when pushed.
You can check all the photos. You can clearly see serial number, transformer codes from ’77, pots from ’77, and the Utah speaker stamp from ’75. Everything appears original and properly maintained over the decades, exactly as it should be.
Cosmetically, it’s in Very Good+ shape overall, a few small marks and signs of use as expected for a late-’70s piece, but the tolex, grill cloth, faceplate, and handle are in great condition for the era.
It’ll be professionally packed and insured to Continental US and some international destinations. Local pickup in LA is also available.
