1967 Fender Super Reverb Amp Black Face – 4×10″ 40-Watt Guitar Combo – Very Clean!

Up for sale, here’s a Very clean example of an original Black Face (not a reissue) 1967 Fender Super Reverb 40W 4×10″ combo amplifier in great condition with recent maintenance, working in perfect condition.

If you’re familiar with these, you know these Black face amps from ’64 – ’67 are one of the most iconic and re-created by many brands Amp, still made during the pinnacle of the Fender years. Fender now makes a similar ’65 reissue of this amp, which sounds close but quite not the same amp. The Super Reverb and the Twin Reverb are probably the most recorded amps of all times.

This ’67 Super Reverb has still the AB763 circuit, it’s been definitely played and acquired some substantial mojo over the years. Functionally is in perfect working condition. All appears to be original with the exception of the tubes, recapped, a newer 3-prong AC plug for safety reasons and a matching set of 1981 Fender Rola speakers have been replaced. Even though the internal part of the cab has been painted in black and there’s no evidence of the tube chart label, the amp appears to be all original with all Original transformers. Internal chasis marks are dated ’67, pots are dated ’66 and ’67. There’s been to extra top back cab corners however the whole cabinet still remains original with its original black tolex, most of its hardware, bafle and grill cloth.

The current tubes are Sovtek on the Power and Rectifier with vintage Phillips, TAB, GE and Ampere on the preamp section. The Reverb unit and the Vibrato works perfectly well along with its original black 2-button foorswitch.

Aesthetically, there’s only a few tiny dings over the tolex and grill cloth which is common from an almost 60 year old amp. Otherwise is pretty clean considering its vintage and the amp is in great and fully working condition, sounding clean and 100% as you can expect from this iconic amp.
